STUDENT MEALS
Three home-cooked meals are served each day in Machon Alte's dining facilities. For Shabbat and holidays students are given the opportunities to visit families in Tzefat, Jerusalem and throughout Israel, as well as to participate in group Shabbatons in Machon Alte, Jerusalem and Hebron.
TRANSFER OF CREDITS
Most colleges and universities accept Machon Alte's credits. It is recommended, however, that the student consult the registrar of the home college she is attending or plans to attend to ascertain the college's policy. Upon request, a transcript for courses successfully completed at Machon Alte will be issued.
REGISTRATION AND TUITION
Machon Alte's year is divided into three semesters and a special summer program geared for University students. Enrollment takes place throughout the year and extra tutoring is provided for those students who desire.

FINANCIAL AID
Financial need will not prevent qualified students from being admitted into Machon Alte. However, it is strongly encouraged that financial aid should be obtained from a student's home community and local Jewish Federation.
MEDICAL COVERAGE
Machon Alte offers basic medical coverage in a national health plan for students enrolling for a minimum of two months. The cost is approximately US$1.00 per day. Medical coverage is mandatory for all students.
STUDENT ACCOMODATION
Students are housed in a historic, comfortable former hotel. Two students share a fully furnished room and many enjoy a private shower/bathroom. Although we accept students from age 18 until age 32, great care is taken to ensure that age, compatibility, and culture serve to enhance relationships and harmony prevails. Our well equipped library, administration office, classrooms, lounge, dining rooms, and spacious kitchens are all conveniently under one roof.
